The port and tourist authorities in San Juan del Sur will be providing quality care to the thousands of tourists who will arrive in the city on the “Norwegian Star” belonging to the Holland Cruises Line and “Marina” of Oceania Cruises, both scheduled to dock in San Juan on April 14th, 2018.
According to the official list of cruise ships published by the National Port Company (EPN), the Norwegian Star brings with 2,348 passengers and a crew of more than a thousand people. The passengers traveling in the Marina total of 1,258 and are served by 800 crewmembers.
The “Norwegian Star” combines the relaxed concept of “Freestyle Cruising with Cruises to the Caribbean, Europe and Transatlantic”. This is a “Dawn Class” cruise operated by Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL). Before being transferred to NCL, the cruise ship was originally called SuperStar Libra. It is 965 feet long and has a beam of 105.6 feet. It has 17 excellent dining options with menus offering: Asian fusion cuisine, French Mediterranean cuisine, American cuisine and much more. It also has 10 bars and lounges. In addition, it has a large selection of cabins and suites to accommodate all tastes.
The Oceania Cruises website indicates that the Marina combines; “Sophistication with a contemporary touch that creates an elegant and informal atmosphere”. The design touches are visible everywhere, from the splendid Lalique Grand Staircase to the amazing owner’s suites decorated with Ralph Lauren Home creations. It is all a sample of the best design and the best interior decoration. According to the web site. “Marina” embodies the Oceania Cruises experience better than any other cruise. This ship also offers guests multiple food choices with six gourmet restaurants with unassigned seats and can be used without extra charge and includes “The Reserve” by Wine Spectator which offers revealing seminars, tastings and gourmet food pairings.
Upon their arrival to San Juan del Sur, the tourists of both cruises will be received by the authorities of the National Tourist Institute (INTUR) and the National Port Company who will guarantee the logistics and attention of the tourists while they visit the port city.
