Spanish airline Iberia has announced a new route from London to Managua, Nicaragua, via Madrid starting on October 1st of this year. The new route will link Europe and Nicaragua with three return flights per week (departures on Mondays, Wednesday, and Fridays. Iberia says that the new flight is a direct response to the demand from customers and recognizes the interest customers have in Nicaragua as an adventure tourist destination. The route will be serviced by Iberia’s latest aircraft; the Airbus A330-200 with a passenger capacity of 19 in Business and 269 in Economy seating. The new generation A320 planes are quieter and also up to 15 percent more fuel-efficient than the previous models. Currently Iberia flies a total of 38 weekly return flights from Madrid to; Panama City, San Jose Costa Rica, San Salvador, and Guatemala City and is a market leader for flights between Europe and Latin America.
Iberia Launches Managua Flights for 2018 – Those planning their vacations one year in advance will be interested in the announcement from Iberia airlines that they will be “re starting” Managua flights from Madrid in October 2018. They will offer three weekly non-stop flights from Managua to Madrid and one stop (Guatemala City) from Madrid to Managua. Iberia (Líneas Aéreas de España, S.A.), founded in 1927 is the flag carrier airline of Spain.
